This 400mm wide electric towel radiator in contemporary matt black finish is designed for bathrooms without central heating access. It comes pre-filled with inhibited water and includes your choice of heating element - simply connect to a fused spur and enjoy warm, dry towels.

Important: Connection to a fused spur must be carried out by a qualified electrician. This is a legal requirement under UK Building Regulations Part P.

  • Electrical: Fused spur (13A) within 1 metre of radiator
  • Location: Bathroom Zone 2 or outside zones (not Zone 0 or 1)
  • Wall: Solid wall or suitable cavity fixings (not included)
  • Clearance: Minimum 150mm from floor, 50mm from ceiling

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a plumber to install this?
No plumber required. This is an electric-only radiator that comes pre-filled. You only need a qualified electrician to connect it to a fused spur.
Can I leave it on all the time?
Yes. All our electric radiators are designed for continuous use. Thermostatic elements (Digital SQ, Sun Digital) will cycle on/off to maintain your set temperature, saving energy. You can also connect to a timer fused spur for scheduled operation.
How long does it take to heat up?
Typically 15-30 minutes to reach operating temperature, depending on size and starting temperature. Larger radiators take slightly longer.
What if I need to move it later?
The radiator can be relocated. You'll need an electrician to disconnect/reconnect the power supply. The pre-filled fluid stays sealed inside.
Is the black finish durable?
Yes. The matt black finish is powder-coated to RAL 9005 standard, providing excellent durability and resistance to chips and scratches. Clean with a soft damp cloth only - avoid abrasive cleaners.
Can this heat my bathroom?
Electric towel radiators are primarily designed for warming towels. For room heating, check the BTU output matches your room's heat requirement. Use our BTU calculator to check your needs.
